Expect classic chicken and tarragon sandwiches and prawn mayo bites alongside ham and cheese croissants, barramundi spring rolls and sausage rolls. Sweet treats steal the show, with lamingtons, passionfruit and kiwi pavlova, vanilla slice, chocolate truffles, Turkish delight and scones with mascarpone, lemon curd and strawberry jam. Settle in and count down the hottest tracks of 2025 with tunes pumping from the speakers, food and drinks flowing freely, and plenty of backyard games to keep the good times rolling. There’s also Hottest 100 bingo on the cards (yes, prizes are involved), because nothing spices up a countdown like a little friendly competition. The countdown kicks off at 11am, with doors open from 10am, so get in early, grab a spot and lock in your Australia Day weekend plans.

Balter Taproom is hosting the GABS Hottest 100 Craft Beers Countdown with the beers flowing, Jimmy Mack on the decks and the Australian Open streaming live on the big screen. No Triple J countdown here, but plenty of hops-fuelled fun instead.

The HOTA Outdoor Stage and Parklands are home to this year’s City of Gold Coast’s official Australia Day celebrations. There’ll be a live and local music line-up on the HOTA Outdoor Stage. Sounds like a bonza afternoon.
