As one of Australia’s favourite holiday destinations, the Gold Coast is brimming with things to do and see, thanks to its ideal location on the beachfront. Visitors have the option of staying in a wide variety of different areas, with each boasting their own unique vibe and approach to the coastal lifestyle. Maybe you’ll choose to stay in Surfers Paradise, the Gold Coast’s high-rise metropolis with extravagant hotels and fashionable residents. Or you could head on down to a campsite at Burleigh Heads, where the focus is on sand, waves and sunshine. No matter where you decide to stay, you can rely on our collection of handy Gold Coast maps from Infomaps to help you get around and find the best beaches, restaurants, shops and other attractions on the Gold Coast.
Broadbeach is just down the road from Surfers Paradise, tempting travellers with its laidback attitude and close proximity to significant landmarks, such as the casino, shopping centre and sporting grounds. Here you’ll also find a beautiful stretch of beachfront park that’s perfect for a lazy afternoon picnic, followed by a drink at the local surf club. Find it all on our Broadbeach map!
Known for its beachside strip of cute cafes and shopping boutiques, Burleigh Heads offers a relaxed change of pace from the high energy lifestyle you might find in other areas. This is a spot especially loved by visitors from Brisbane (and further abroad), many of whom have fond childhood memories of family road trips down to Burleigh’s beautiful beaches. Find out what all the fuss is about on our Burleigh Heads map!
Easy access to the Coolangatta Airport means this region is a popular destination for tourists, and yet Coolangatta and Tweed Heads haven’t lost any of their old-school charm over the years. There are a number of popular beaches along this stretch, such as Kirra Beach and Rainbow Bay, as well as the famous Point Danger Headland – a popular hiking spot due to the stunning views seen from the lookout at the top. Our Coolangatta/Tweed Heads map also includes Fingal and Tweed Heads South.
Inside Gold Coast’s Southport map flows on from the suburb of Labrador to include Southport and Main Beach on The Spit. On this map you’ll find the location of a number of different shopping centres and one of the Gold Coast’s famous theme parks. And of course, don’t forget about Main Beach – the topmost point of the Coast’s famous stretch of sand that runs uninterrupted for over 50km.
Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that you’ll see mermaids in the water here, but Mermaid Beach is still a magical spot to visit. This suburb, and neighbouring Mermaid Waters and Nobbys Beach, are a favourite of people who like to have unrestricted access to the beach and avoid high-rise developments. Find your bliss using our Mermaid Beach map!
Currumbin has it all – a stunning strip of beach, beautiful conservation park and access to Currumbin Creek, all within 15 minutes’ drive of the Coolangatta Airport. This is one of the last suburbs before the New South Wales border, followed by Tugun and Bilinga. You can find each of these areas on our Palm Beach to Currumbin Map.
Surfers Paradise is the heart of the Gold Coast – it’s where you’ll find the finest restaurants, most glamorous resorts and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Our Surfers Paradise map allows for easy navigation of the area’s canals and skyscrapers after spending the day at iconic Surfers Paradise Beach… it’s called paradise for a reason!
