Feast like a Greek god at La Fira Mediterranean & Steak House.

If you’ve ever dreamed of sipping cocktails on a whitewashed terrace in Santorini while the Aegean breeze flirts with your hair, but you’ve only made it as far as the Gold Coast, we’ve got Greek news.
Say hello to La Fira Mediterranean & Steak House, a new boutique gem in Burleigh that transports you to the Greek Isles with every “Opa!”

Behind the Mediterranean magic is hospitality maestro Maikel Dabeet, who marries 22 years of business experience and 15 years in hospitality with a big passion for exceptional food. Maikel’s vision? To create a place where the art of the Euro lifestyle of long lunches and good company could meet Burleigh’s buzzing vibe. And let’s just say, mission souvlaki-complished.

La Fira takes its name and its design from the stunning village of Fira in Santorini. With white stone walls, rustic timber details and sun-drenched textures, the venue feels like it’s been plucked from a cliffside taverna and gently placed on the Gold Coast.
Interior designer Melody Kourieh and builder Maan El Bizri helped transform the space into a stylish hideaway for just 32 guests, making it the ideal setting for intimate dinners, date nights or lunches where time slips away and your crew ends up staying on for happy hour.

Then there’s the food. Holy tzatziki. If Santorini is the Greek island of love, La Fira’s menu is a love letter to it.
Start with Hot Mezedes with sizzling halloumi, grilled octopus, and falafel fresh from the pan, or keep things cool with a vibrant spread of Cold Mazza like Charred Eggplant Melitzanosalata and Dolmades.
Meatlovers can rejoice over the Kreas selection, showcasing premium, charcoal-grilled steaks cooked just the way you like it, while seafood lovers will be hooked on the Thalassina, a celebration of ocean-fresh favourites like prawns, scallops and whole grilled fish.

Souvlaki and mixed plates are already fan favourites, but the La Fira Deluxe Platter is the star of the show, that’s equal parts showstopper and comfort food. Sink your teeth into a sizzling skewers of chicken, lamb, kafta, and juicy cutlet, plus five jumbo prawns grilled to perfection. Served with fluffy rice, creamy hummus, garlic dip, salad and warm bread, you’ve got yourself the ultimate Mediterranean spread.

Banquets are also available for those, like us, who must try it all.
And just when you think you couldn’t possibly fit more in, along comes the traditional Greek baklava layered with walnuts and pistachios-soaked in honey syrup.
Pair your feast with signature cocktails like the zesty Santorini. With one sip it will transport you to the most famous island for golden hour.

The wine selection is top-notch too, featuring Australian standouts alongside bold European drops that compliment the flame-grilled meats and seafood.
So if you’re craving a Greek escape without leaving the Coast, pop down to Burleigh for a feast even Zeus couldn’t refuse.
