Who said growing up means growing boring? If you’ve ever wished your nights out came with more games, more laughs and a lot less standing around awkwardly with a drink in hand, this is your sign to level up your social life at PlayZone, the ultimate adults-only playground taking over Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise.

Born in Melbourne seven years ago, PlayZone has spent nearly a decade perfecting the art of grown-up good times. Now, with its feet firmly planted on the Glitter Strip, the team is ready to create unforgettable experiences for locals and tourists alike.

Spread across three heaving levels, PlayZone GC has officially ditched the rulebook and replaced it with a choose-your-own-adventure night out where you’re just as likely to end up in a giant ball pit as you are belting out Shania Twain in a cowboy hat. And yes, everything is included with entry.
Let’s dive into the fun shall we?

Your playtime starts in the basement, where the vibe is full Las Vegas glam. We’re talking five luxe, private hotel-style party rooms that can be tailored to your crew’s size and vibe. Whether you’re hosting a hens night, bucks, or a rogue Wednesday catch-up that somehow spirals (in the best way), each room comes with its own party hostess, drinks service, beer pong setup, big screen TVs and even poker if you’re feeling lucky.

Then there’s the ground level, the social heart of PlayZone. It’s got private party sections and a 270-degree bar for easy refuelling between rounds of UV pickleball, shuffleboard, electronic darts and glow-in-the-dark Daytona races. There’s even stadium seating around the pickleball court, because if you’re going to get competitive, you may as well have a cheering section. Add in a photo booth for your Kodak moments (or regrets) and a giant spinning wheel of prizes, you’ve got a party that writes itself.

But it doesn’t stop there. Upstairs, things get wild in the most wonderfully unhinged way. Enter the Wild West-themed top floor, where Coyote Ugly energy meets festival chaos. There’s a Galaxy Texan bucking bull to test your rodeo skills, a dunk tank to settle scores, a massive ball pit with volleyball and basketball setups, and a private Cowboy Karaoke room where you can channel your inner Dolly or Drake. There are also water-themed cowgirl shows on the bar top, because of course there are. This is PlayZone, after all.

What makes it so brilliant isn’t just the activities (though there are plenty), or the free-flowing drinks (also plentiful). It’s the fact that you can let loose, bond with your mates, meet new people, and laugh until you cry all in one place. Bookings are minimum 10 people, so fire up the group chat and find a reason to party, stat.
PlayZone proves fun doesn’t have an age limit.
