Dogs on the Green

After the success of the “May the Fourth Be With You” markets and other events this year, the Dogs on the Green team returns with a mid-winter doggie Christmas celebration at Broadwater Parklands on Saturday, 26th July. For the first time, the event will be held at the scenic Fisherman’s Lawn beside the Peninsula playground. Entry is free and features around 80 dog-focused stalls, food trucks, live music, and a visit from “Santa Paws” at 10am. A charity raffle will also raise funds for Best Friends Animal Rescue, with some adoptable dogs present on the day.

Despite a challenging year with wild weather and economic pressures, community support remains strong. Event Coordinator Ash Robinson says the event continues to attract passionate stallholders and dog lovers from across the region. From its humble beginnings in Merrimac in 2019, Dogs on the Green has grown into one of the Gold Coast’s most beloved dog-friendly days out.
