February & March are for feasting

$20 off at Harvest Buffet? BRB, clearing my calendar.

Harvest Buffet, The Star Gold Coast (image supplied)

There’s never a bad time to hit up an all-you-can-eat, but if there was a perfect time, it’s right now. Harvest Buffet at The Star Gold Coast is throwing down a deal that’s too good to ignore—$20 off lunch and dinner during February and March! That means more food, less guilt, and maximum feasting potential. If you needed a sign to round up your crew for an indulgent, borderline outrageous buffet session, this is it.

Let’s break it down: if you’re 13 or over (sorry, kiddos), you get $20 off per person. Take mum, dad, grandma, grandpa and the kids? That’s $80 staying right in your pocket. Go back for round two, and you’ve saved $160. That’s basic girl maths, and frankly, it’s a no-brainer. And if you’re anything like us, the idea of an unlimited spread at a discount is the kind of financial planning we can get behind.

While Lunar New Year is over, Harvest is continuing the celebration throughout February by levelling up the menu with an Asian-inspired spread that’ll have you wishing you had a second stomach. We’re talking sticky sweet and sour pork, saucy chicken black bean, crispy spring rolls and perfectly fluffy egg-fried rice. Oh, and if you drop by on the weekend? Roasted duck joins the lineup. Drooling? Same. It’s the kind of meal that demands multiple rounds, a strategic game plan and a break in between courses to pace yourself.

Of course, the regular Harvest lineup isn’t going anywhere, which means all the fresh seafood, hearty roasts, Mediterranean delights, antipasti, soups, salads, and desserts your heart desires. Expect fresh prawns, tender cuts of meat straight from the carvery, and a selection of cheeses and charcuterie that would make any foodie swoon. And let’s be real—no trip to Harvest is complete without a visit (or three) to the legendary chocolate fountain and free-flowing soft-serve station. Priorities. Load up on your faves, then finish strong with a sugar-fuelled finale.

This is the kind of deal that doesn’t come around often, so if you’ve ever wanted an excuse to eat your weight in dumplings and seafood and dessert, consider this it. Whether it’s a long-overdue catch-up with friends, a family get-together, or simply a well-earned treat-yourself moment, Harvest Buffet is where February & March feasting dreams come true.

11 of the best Gold Coast buffets

The only time it’s good to have a lot on your plate.

The history of buffet style eating is a mixed affair. Its origins could be said to hark back to a mixture of cultures — from Asia to Europe. The ‘smorgasbord’ became internationally known as such at the 1939 New York World’s Fair exhibition, because the Swedes had to invent a new way of showcasing the best of Swedish food to large numbers of visitors. And the rest, as they say, is history…

Whoever can claim to have been responsible, we’re not fussed! The point is buffets — and smorgasbords — are amazing ways to reach newfound eating goals, and we’ve got quite a few exceptional ones right here on the Gold Coast. Happy binge eating, folks!

Tuesday sits in a funny spot. The grind of Monday has worn off, but the weekend still feels a lifetime away. Motivation is… questionable. Energy levels? Also questionable. Appetite? Present, but not for the meals we just spent Sunday prepping…

The good news is that Tuesday is pulling its weight with a lineup of cheap eats across the Gold Coast that make getting through the week a whole lot more enjoyable. We’re talking tacos, parmis, pizzas, schnitties and everything in between, all at prices that feel like a small win in today’s world.

NORTH GC
  • Pimpama Pavilion: A parmi and a pint for $30 keeps things simple in the best way. It’s a classic combo that does exactly what it needs to do – push us through to Wednesday.
    Where: 5 Dixon Dr, Pimpama
  • Boathouse Tavern: If your word is reliable, then Tuesdays at Boathouse Tavern is where you should be. Pizzas for $15 – a simple crowd pleaser saving wallets and family arguments since… well, forever.
