Getting stuck in the mud isn’t so bad when matcha is part of the deal. Perched along Tamborine Mountain’s iconic Gallery Walk, Muddy Matcha has joined forces with Clay Temple Co. to create a dreamy double act where ceramics and ceremonial tea come together in the most aesthetic way possible. It’s the kind of place you wander into for a quick look and end up staying for hours, hands messy, matcha in hand, completely content.
The creative collaboration is the handiwork of couple Dyllan Joyce and Janel Eldridge, who have quite literally moulded their passions into one beautiful mountain sanctuary. Equal parts pottery studio and matcha bar, the space invites you to slow down, get tactile and lean into the process, whether that’s shaping clay or watching a vibrant green brew being whisked to perfection. It’s immersive, calming and just the right amount of wholesome.
On the menu, matcha is the hero (as it should be), served in everything from traditional ceremonial pours to playful modern takes. Pair your drink with a creative session or simply soak up the peaceful surrounds, either way, Muddy Matcha delivers a uniquely grounding experience that feels worlds away from the everyday.
