Cavalcade and the unmissable music moments of BLEACH* 2025.
Cavalcade and the unmissable music moments of BLEACH* 2025.

When Michael Zavros, the man who turns luxury into art and then casually paints it in oil, took over as guest Artistic Director for BLEACH* 2025, we knew the festival was about to hit icon status. Drama? Guaranteed. Glamour? Obviously. Horses? Surprisingly… yes.
This year, the Gold Coast’s most ambitious arts festival is bigger, bolder, and galloping onto your calendar with a lineup of music performances that span grunge to grandeur, with Cavalcade taking centre stage. Here’s everything you need to know to get excited and get yourself there.
Let the curtain (or shall we say the tide?) rise. Cavalcade is BLEACH*’s grand finale, a sunset performance on the sands of Kurrawa Beach where opera singers, a live orchestra, dressage horses and trick riders create pure theatre under the stars. Directed by Gavin Webber and imagined by Michael Zavros himself, it’s a powerful exploration of the journey from control to freedom, told through the breathtaking dance between human and horse.
When: Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 August, 5:30pm–6:30pm
Where: Kurrawa Beach, Broadbeach
Cost: Adults from $79

Full-body goosebumps.

A backline of 22 drummers – yes, twenty-two – fronted by Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson, pounding it out in honour of Nirvana’s legendary 1992 Fisherman’s Wharf show. It’s a full-tilt tribute to the grunge gods, woven into the DNA of the Gold Coast music scene.
Hosted by Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl) and backed by a stacked live lineup curated by the Gold Coast Music Network. This is one sweaty, loud, unmissable night of music.
