City of Gold Coast New Year’s Eve Events

Say goodbye to the silly season and hello to 2025 in the most classic NYE way possible — with a sky full of fireworks.

Across the Gold Coast, there’ll be plenty of parks and beachfront spots turning into mini celebrations, where you can roll out a picnic rug, grab the crew and settle in as the night lights up. Whether you’re keeping it kid-friendly or going all-in for midnight, you’ve got options: early evening displays are set to pop off at Broadbeach, Coomera and Surfers Paradise at 8pm, with Coolangatta joining the party at 9pm. Then it’s round two the main event when the fireworks return at midnight to officially welcome 2025 with the big, booming finale.

If you’re after a full evening plan (especially with little ones), Coomera Sports Park is also hosting a Community Celebration from 6pm–8pm, making it easy to enjoy the festivities before heading home ahead of the late-night countdown.
