The World Surfing Conservation Conference (WSCC) 2026 is set to make waves on the Gold Coast, bringing together ocean lovers, surf communities and environmental leaders from around the globe.
Hosted by Gold Coast World Surfing Reserve Inc. and proudly supported by Southern Cross University, this landmark event runs from 16–19 February 2026 at the university’s Gold Coast campus. Expect four inspiring days focused on where surfing, sustainability and science collide, all with one goal in mind: protecting our oceans and iconic surf breaks.
The multi-day conference will feature an exceptional international lineup, including surf legends Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew AM, Layne Beachley AO, Tom Carroll, and Nick Carroll, alongside climate advocates, researchers, youth leaders and global organisations such as Save The Waves Coalition, Surfrider Foundation, and Surfers for Climate.
Timed alongside some of the region’s biggest surf and cultural events, including the Usher World Team Cup, Flotsam Art Festival and the World Surf League World Tour at Snapper Rocks, WSCC2026 is more than just a conference. It’s a full-blown movement for the future of our coast.
From surf break protection and ocean plastic solutions to sustainable surf tourism and innovation in surf industry recycling, this is where big ideas meet real-world action.
Registrations are now open – secure your spot and be part of WSCC2026 on the Gold Coast this February.
