Attention coffee lovers! One of Gold Coast’s favourite coffee slingers, Paradox Coffee Roasters, has relocated to a fancy new flagship cafe in Broadbeach, and trust us, they’ve just levelled up your coffee game.
The Paradox Coffee Roasters crew have been pouring their hearts and brews into our coast for over a decade. In 2023, they opened an outpost at Gold Coast Airport that took our pre-flight coffee to new heights. Now their new flagship in Broadbeach is bound to have even more locals lining up for their daily fix.
The venue design is as smooth as their brews. Situated in the Oracle Dining Precinct, the new flagship has ample space for sipping and snacking, with cosy booths, sprawling communal tables, and a breezy indoor-outdoor setup. A standout mural by Australian artist Vans the Omega celebrates a decade of Paradox Coffee Roasters on the Gold Coast, utilising the Roman numeral X coupled with bold geometry and the core colours associated with the packaging of each Paradox coffee blend.
Watch the baristas in action performing what can only be described as caffeinated choreography at the iconic oval-shaped coffee bar. A custom LaMarzocco machine takes centre stage, but the clever batch tap system is giving main character energy too. Think precision-brewed, temperature-controlled coffee that’s served hot or cold for the ultimate sip experience. Forget cups, just pour it straight into our mouths, thanks!
Paradox has brewed up some serious specialty options, including their V60 Frozen Single Origins, premium single-origin beans frozen to perfection, as well as Special Release Origin coffees that are as rare as snow on the GC. Each month, there’s a new coffee to explore from top-growing regions like Colombia, Ethiopia and Panama, keeping your taste buds on their toes.
For cold brew devotees, a limited release blend promises smooth, flavour-packed sips. Head Coffee Roaster Yogesh has also whipped up some delightfully dessert-inspired creations: a Strawberry Brownie Latte, a Lychee Pavlova Latte and a Fruits of the Forest cold brew that are as Instagrammable as they are delicious.
Feeling peckish? Paradox has your back with breakfast and lunch favourites from the OG GC cafe in Surfers, plus some new dishes that you’ll want to sink your teeth into immediately. Curated by Head Chef Vivek, you can expect only the best locally sourced, top-quality ingredients.
Start your day with Chilli Scrambled Eggs on a chia seed bagel with fermented chilli labneh, parmesan, and pickled onions. New menu additions include Roasted Pear Granola with coconut labneh and the Paradox Miso Mushroom featuring crispy lentil cake, miso mushrooms, crispy enoki, whipped white bean, charred greens, sage pangrattato and herb oil.
For lunch, the Karaage Chicken Naani wrap and the Soba Noodle Salad are the ultimate flavour-packed treats. Seasonal changes mean your palate is in for a rotating surprise.

Italian for coffee house, Merlo’s Torrefazione is a haven of all things coffee and features an in-store air roaster, meaning a constant steady flow of the freshest espresso. First Fruits Specialty Coffee
Found in both Labrador and Southport, First Fruits believe coffee is an art form. Beans are ethically sourced and of the highest quality, and the team are very knowledgeable on all aspects of coffee. They roast in medium and city roast styles which bring out the oh-so delicious flavours of the bean and offer a smooth, balanced flavour.

One of the newest roasters on the block, there’s a reason we ‘willy’ love what these guys bring to the table… errr, cup. Tucked away in Burleigh Heads, the coffee warehouse opened its doors in July and locals can’t get enough of the specialty coffee that Willy’s Beans have been brewing. Celebrating the art of coffee making, the boutique roastery pays homage to the heritage of the Colombian-grown beans that are expertly roasted onsite. Don’t let its size fool you, Profile Coffee Colab is a hive of activity and if you’re a frequent visitor like us, you’ll know what we’re talking about. Bringing the buzz (and we don’t just mean the coffee) this local roastery is the home of Joy Organic Coffee Roasters and boasts the Gold Coast’s biggest range of specialty coffee! The line-up grows each and every week so if you’re looking for incredible coffee to enjoy at home, look no further. Not only do they have coffee en masse and beans roasted onsite to take home, but there’s also a co-roasting space, coffee training centre and coffee courses in case you’re looking to certify those coffee snob skills.

Burleigh’s beloved coffee aficionados Quest have been roasting up a storm for many, many years, and their brews’ quality is always exceptional. Good Day Coffee gets a fresh pour with Willy’s Beans, as founder Jayson Mathiou brings his Colombian-inspired specialty brews to the much-loved Tugun local. A long-time regular turned owner, Jayson has refreshed the space while keeping its soul intact, from the iconic avo toast to the same feel-good energy that’s made Good Day a community favourite for years.

Burleigh’s Hibiscus Haven has a new crush, and it’s serving Mohr than you’d expect! Mohr Cafe and Deli delivers all-day plates, Mediterranean-inspired lunches and a deli stacked with grab-and-go goodness. Goo-E Dessert Bar is Broadbeach’s newest sweet obsession, turning frozen yoghurt and ice cream into a full-blown dessert playground. Coffee and chill is the brief at Relaxed Espresso in Mermaid Beach. This laid-back local flips the morning rush into a slow sip, serving quality brews and banging toasties with good vibes only. With a minimalist fit-out, curated tunes and coffee made by Josh Key who’s been in the game long enough to know how much coffee means to us all, it’s the kind of spot that makes you pause before the day kicks off.

Cheek Café has arrived in Southport with big flavours, bold personality and peachy-good vibes. This sunny corner spot blends playful design with seriously good coffee, wholesome ingredients and a menu inspired by Greek, Italian and Aussie roots. Owner Natalie Yiannakopoulos has poured her heart into every detail, backed by Head Chef Anjelika Arnaiz, whose global experience brings a refined twist to brunch favourites. The Chilly Bin is officially Tugun’s coolest new hangout, bringing a taste of true Kiwi summer with its real fruit ice cream served straight from a converted horse float. Cycling meets caffeine culture at Che Cafe & Bikes, Broadbeach Waters’ stylish new hub where pedals and pastry cravings unite. Public Supply has officially put Tweed Heads on the map for scroll supremacy. Tucked into a hidden laneway, this sleek new cafe is serving up sticky, gooey cinnamon scrolls that rival the viral treats at Sundays Bondi. From The OG Original Glaze to the Pistachio and Biscoff Crumble, every bite feels like a sweet victory. Pair it with a cereal-topped coffee (yes, Coco Pops on your latte) and you’ve got nostalgia and indulgence in one. Scroll goals? Consider them achieved.

Robina Town Centre has a sweet new swirl with Cocoflufferia by Goji, the playful spin-off of Goji Granola Bar. Upper Coomera rolls out the royal treatment with the arrival of Andonis Cafe & Bar, Brisbane’s beloved brunch empire, now making its Gold Coast debut. Dishing up comfort, connection and croissants in equal measure, The Hearth Café & Providore is Mudgeeraba’s new community heart. Founded by local mum and foodie Mikka Richter, this charming café blends European bistro vibes with Aussie farmhouse warmth. With buttery pastries, soul-warming meals made by Mikka’s mum and shelves stocked with wholesome pantry treats, it’s a hug in hospitality form. One visit and you’ll understand that home really is where The Hearth is.

Elk Espresso is the breakfast spot not just for the ‘gram, but obviously your taste buds too. Their menu changes seasonally, so there’s always something new and exciting to discover – no matter how many times you’ve been before. However, you can always expect some epic flavours and almost-too-pretty-to-eat dishes like their Ruby Oats, Bumblebee Hotcakes or Breaky Bresaola. We love to spill the matcha on this one. Goya in Broadbeach is the kind of spot that makes you want to trade your morning toast for a Japanese sando, forever. Think fluffy-as-a-cloud milk bread stuffed with creamy egg, tobikko and mayo (the Tamago Sando, aka heaven between slices). Or go sweet with the Fruits Sando, pillowy bread, whipped cream and juicy fruit doing their thing in perfect harmony. The whole menu’s a delicious little love story between Japan and the Gold Coast – equal parts comfort and cool.

O Bagel’s slinging seriously good, fresh-baked bagels loaded with house-made fillings that’ll have you questioning every other breakfast choice you’ve ever made. The move? The G’morning bagel. It’s basically a full brekkie jammed into one glorious handful, egg, bacon, hash brown, cheddar, tomato relish and aioli all snuggled inside that chewy, golden bagel. Ordinary bagels? Never heard of her.
